Based in Plymouth, Nurtura Connect Ltd is a family-founded, social-work-led organisation with a strong commitment to quality, integrity and care. The company is led by professionals with extensive experience in children’s services — including frontline practice, family support, safeguarding, statutory social work, supervision and service leadership. This experience gives us a clear understanding of what high-quality support looks like in practice, particularly when services are under pressure.

We created Nurtura Connect in response to the growing challenges facing children’s social care and the increasing pressures experienced by frontline teams across the sector. Local authorities are often required to respond to urgent staffing gaps, rising demand, crisis situations and complex family need while continuing to keep children safe and support their permanent workforce. We understand how difficult this can be.

Our Vision

Our vision is to provide flexible, high-quality, social-work-led support services that work alongside local authorities to reduce pressure, improve stability and support positive outcomes for children and families.

As experienced former local authority practitioners and leaders, we understand the realities of frontline practice, workforce pressures and the importance of responsive, trusted partnerships. Our model is designed to provide practical support where it is needed most, while promoting continuity, collaboration and relationship-based practice.

We believe that children and families deserve consistent, compassionate and skilled support, and that permanent practitioners deserve additional capacity that supports rather than undermines them.
